Genre ideas.

   Today we will be reviewing the types of genres that we looked at previously on Wednesday the 3rd of October. On Wednesday I looked at different types of genres- while considering what our group would be best at. These are the different types of genres that I looked at and this is my presentation of the different types of genres that we was personally liked were; horror , comedy and action. So we are going to try and combine all of these into our task. We decided not to go for a Rom-Com because we all decided between us that we are not that romantic and its not that good if we cant do it and give it 100%. but action and comedy are my types of films that I can re-in-act. My planning is in the pictures above^^^^^. I personally don't really want to do these genres that we have decided but the rest of the group so we have to do what the majority can do. but as I'm the only one who is confident enough to have a serious face and actions through out recording I thought that I should be included in what type of genre that we should be doing.

Prelim task take 2

            Today we filmed our prelim task as we had to redo the one that we did the other day. As by editing the other one we realised that we didn't say the same things are that we wasnt in the same positions. This is match on action, but this is vital for the prelim task! So we redone the whole thing again with the front and back shots with the 180 degree rule. We also swapped over roles as Rebecca is doing the editing with me , Jess and Ashleigh are going to be doing the filimg and the music as well as some of the editing and uploading to the blogs as well as recording the conversations that we have while discussing the factors of how we will do things and not do things.
      While I am writing this blog I am aslo helping Rebecca out with the editing and how we will cut things with the match-on-action so that we can get good marks on our prelim task. We will also be discussing our real groups for the real task later on this lesson :D

Before re-doing the prelim task

 Today we are going to film our actual preliminary task. The one that we done yesterday was not up to satisfactory sandards. Fingers crossed that everything goes okay.

Prelim task take 1

    We have just started to film our preliminary task and Rebecca and Ashleigh have decided to have a discussion about how to do shot reverse shot. Ashleigh thinks that we need to repeat our conversation and over lap it. So that we can cut it. But she also wants us to repeat the whole conversation so that she can get her own way and that it would make my life harder. As I say most of the lines and Rebecca has different views. Rebecca thought that we shout pause at a certain scene , press stop on the recorder and then start a new video on the other side of the other persons shoulder which I thought was a really good idea. Our group does have our ups and down but we will support one another and discuss this.

First attempt at shooting a conversation about our prelim task

Our attempt at the first shooting of our conversation. Ashley is the camera woman. Me,Jess and Rebecca are the actors- in order from the left.    
     In this conversation we talk about the different shots that we will use and the reasons why. The reason why we decided to film our conversation rather than just a voice over or a script, was because we could show you our filming techniques. As well as us trying to get the hang of using the camera and how sensitive it is.

Conversation about our prelim task

   Today me and the group are recording our conversation discussing what we are going to do for our preliminary task. In the video we discuss what types of shots we are going to use. By discussing the shots we was able to do we was able to get an idea of the places we would be able to do this according to the weather. We needed to consider the weather and the days that we allocated a filming slot. The match on action shot we was discussing how we was going to do this. As I thought that we could do a person walking through a curtain or opening a curtain as some thing different , But other members thought that this was a bad idea and that we should just stick to the walking through the door and be the same as everyone else.  This is because we didn't want to over complicate things so we tried to keep things simple. The way in which we was going to try and do the shot reverse shot was by having two people having a conversation. This way we can have a camera over one persons shoulder then pause the shot while the camera person goes round to the other persons shoulder so that we can get the shot reverse shot.
